The Golden State Warriors came into Game 3 without superstar Kevin Durant, backup (and situational starter) Kevon Looney, and later Klay Thompson who was active but remained a game-time decision the last few days before being scrapped officially as a precautionary measure. That means All-Star point guard Stephen Curry had to shoulder the bulk of the scoring, and that he did – pouring 17 points in the first quarter and finishing with 47 points.

It wasn't enough as the Warriors had to play from behind the whole game and while they fought valiantly to cut the lead with some suffocating defensive plays and some streaky offensive moments, they ultimately succumbed 123-109 to the Toronto Raptors.

After the game, Curry praised the Warriors' efforts but conceded that the injuries are a huge mountain to climb, noting the value of Thompson and Durant specifically.

In the interview, Curry cited their impact as like “missing pretty much 50 points” which is a fair number although Durant is very capable of exceeding those numbers each game and the same could be said about Thompson so, in reality, it's probably around 60-70 points.

Either way, Curry doesn't like crying over spilled milk saying they'll adjust and that it's a long series still. Stranger things have definitely happened with a 2-1 lead and with the game set in Oracle, the possibility of Thompson returning, and being the two-time defending champions – it's still anybody's ballgame.
