A replica of Marvel's supervillain Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet sat in Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry's locker after having buried an NBA-Finals-record nine 3-pointers against the Cleveland Cavaliers to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Asked how that ended up in his locker, the two-time MVP responded nonchalantly.

“Oh, that? Someone from TSN gave that to me,” Curry said, referring to Canada’s The Sports Network, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

The Infinity Gauntlet holds the power of six infinity stones, which if collected within it yields omnipotent power to its user, per Marvel's record-breaking film Avengers: Infinity War.

Curry didn't need the stones or the gauntlet to make a dent in the Cavs' offense, catching fire in the fourth quarter after an altercation with Kendrick Perkins, reeling in the energy for a 5-of-8 performance from the field, burying all five of his 3-point attempts to put down their NBA Finals rivals 122-103 en route to breaking Ray Allen's record of eight trifectas in the biggest stage.

“I never woke up and was like, ‘All right, let’s go get nine 3s and get the record,’ ” Curry said. “It was more so about playing the game the right way, having good intentions out there on the court, and good things happen. So, pretty special night, and hopefully some more special things happen and we get two more wins.”

Curry has gotten in a groove at the right time, after having a questionable start to the Western Conference Finals, now seemingly completely dialed in after 29 and 33-point performances in the first two games of these NBA Finals.
