Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry is excited to get All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson back for Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Curry says obviously everyone knows what Thompson means to the Warriors on offense, but the two-time league MVP pointed out on Thursday how vital Thompson is for the Dubs on the defensive side of the ball as well.
“People fall in love with his shooting and how hot he can get on the offensive end, but the way that our team plays defensively and the chemistry that we have and the experience, he’s right at the forefront of that,” Curry said of Thompson, via Eric Koreen of The Athletic. “And it’s a tough adjustment when…guys who haven’t been in that position consistently and in these type of moments are thrown into his minutes.”

The Warriors struggled on both ends of the floor in the Game 3 loss. The Dubs gave up 123 points and shot only 39.6 percent from the field as a team. Stephen Curry, who put up a playoff career-high 47 points, was the only player on Golden State who had it going on offense.
Klay Thompson is an elite defender and scorer. The Warriors' chances of winning Game 4 skyrocketed once Steve Kerr announced Thompson is expected to play in Game 4.
Expect the Splash Brothers to carry the offensive load on Friday and Thompson to be a pest on defense.
