The Golden State Warriors are one of the most proudly political organizations in all of professional sports. They didn't visit the White House after winning either of the last two NBA titles, their players routinely speak out against perceived injustices aimed at the persecuted, and their coach is never afraid to offer his left-leaning opinion on any hot-button issue plaguing the country. Even those most deeply embroiled on both sides of the nation's political divide, however, should smile at what took place during early Wednesday afternoon at American Airlines Center.
Hours before his team's game against the Miami Heat, Warriors superstar Steph Curry stayed late after shootaround to throw lobs to a student from Stoneman Douglas High School, where a shooting this time last year left 17 students and teachers dead.
