The Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry, and Andrew Wiggins ended their two-game losing streak, as they improved to 1-2 after beating the Chicago Bulls 129-128 on Damion Lee's decisive 3-pointer.

Wiggins, the forward drafted number one in the 2014 NBA draft out of Kansas, was having trouble getting in rhythm the first couple of games of the season. Scoring only 12 points against the Milwaukee Bucks and 13 points against the Brooklyn Nets, Wiggins was finding it to be difficult to produce for a Warriors team crippled by injuries.

However, Wiggins came back strong against the Bulls as he scored 19 points and grabbed nine boards for the Warriors. Wiggins told the media the following about what he has to do going forward:

“Just having a mindset to keep pushing forward…Didn't shoot well the first couple of games. Staying aggressive, attacking the rim, trying to get to the foul line early — see the ball go in,” Wiggins had to say after this morning's shootaround, via Warriors reporter-analyst Drew Shiller of NBC Sports.

Especially with Stephen Curry as a Warriors teammate, Wiggins further expressed how Curry has the ability to gain the attention of defenders, allowing for his teammates to play at a high level. Drew Shiller quoted Wiggins on the impact Curry has had on the team this season:

One of the greatest shooters to ever play the game, along with his sublime ball-handling skills and ability to drive to the basket, Curry has the ability to collapse a defense like no other player. With his versatility threatening defenses all across the league, players such as Wiggins can capitalize for the Warriors this season and produce on offense when defenses primarily focus on Curry.

It's no secret in the NBA that the Warriors need Wiggins and Kelly Oubre to make shots and become reliable supporting-cast scorers in order to make the playoffs. The loss of Klay Thompson plus the early-season absence of Draymond Green have pinched the Dubs and reduced their margin for error.
