When it comes to the right ankle injury of Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry, it's apparently not much to fret about. Well, in the short term, at least.

According to an interview on 95.7 The Game with Brandon Payne, who is Curry's personal trainer, Cury's sprained right ankle isn't something to be concerned about.

However, Payne said that he finds it a little bit alarming that the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player award winner has recurring issues with ankle injuries.

“(I’m) not very concerned in terms of it being a major injury or something that is going to prevent him from playing in the playoffs or anything like that,” Payne said. “The only thing that is really concerning about it is just that it keeps happening.”

Curry's exact timetable to return to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr's lineup is not known right now, but more updates will be provided as soon as they are made available to us.

Payne says that these minor setbacks are a bump in the road, but believes Stephen Curry is more suited than anyone to be able to quickly bounce back from his ankle woes.

“It’s all little small little tweaks. It’s nothing major,” Payne said. “The good thing about this is there’s nobody who’s more equipped to handle this and deal with this than Stephen is just because he’s been through it so many times.”

The Warriors will finally return home on Wednesday night when they host the young Los Angeles Lakers (30-36) at Oracle Arena in a primetime contest.
