This past summer, the Golden State Warriors received two lottery picks in the NBA draft. It was well known that the Dubs planned on competing for a championship this season, so a ton of teams were interested in trading for the two draft spots. However, in the end, they kept their picks and drafted Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.
Both rookies have played in the G League and started a few games with Stephen Curry and the Dubs. After Steve Kerr announced Moody would start against the Houston Rockets Monday, he revealed his plan for the two talents to finish the season.
“I think on a good team rookies are going to have a hard time breaking their rotation,” Kerr told ClutchPoints. “So if we're staying healthy, then both guys will continue to develop at their own pace, which I think is very healthy, and that'll mean a mix of scrimmages, some minutes in the NBA, some Santa Cruz time, all of that.”

“It's a really good way for them to learn and grow,” Kerr furthered about the rookies. “If we need them, then I'm confident they can both come in and produce and help us win.”
The two Warriors rookies are in a unique situation. They get to learn from all-time greats like Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and more. It also gives them the chance to compete for a championship as rookies.
Not many players get to start their careers this way, and it could pay off for them in the future big time.
