Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is highly recognized as one of the best players in the history of the NBA. In his 10-year career, he's already accomplished almost everything. He set and broke records, became a multiple-time All-Star, won the regular season MVP twice, and the NBA championships three times over the last four years.

However, there seems to be one thing that's missing from his basketball resume: the Finals MVP award.

Curry, as great as he is, has yet to add that to his trophy collection, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr believes that Steph would love to win it. However, he also knows that winning matters more for the sharpshooting guard.

When the Warriors won the championship in 2015, it was veteran forward Andre Iguodala who won the Finals MVP honors. Then, Kevin Durant won it in 2017 and 2018. Nonetheless, with the former already at the tail-end of his career and the latter injured, it is the perfect opportunity for Curry to step up and win one.

It won't be easy still, as Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are expected to step up big time. Both players have been impressive since the Western Conference semi-finals. In addition, both players haven't been selected in any of the All-NBA teams, which means they will be raring to prove themselves in the Finals as well.

As Kerr said, Curry doesn't mind not winning the Finals MVP at all. What's more important for him the championship trophy, and that will never change. After all, that's what they've been working hard for all season.
