Steve Kerr is truly one of the luckiest head coaches in the NBA. He inherited a potent roster and groomed it into becoming one of the best teams of all time. The Golden State Warriors head coach has achieved substantial success with only three years of experience on the sidelines.

Kerr exploded into the head coaching scene and led the Warriors to immediate success, winning the franchise's second title in 2015. After losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals in 2016, Kerr led the Warriors to another NBA title even after suffering an excruciatingly painful back injury. Like most coaches, Kerr is very fond of his team, especially his star players, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Still, head coaches need their rest too. When asked if Kerr had seen the All-Star rosters, the Warriors head coach had a typical response, according to Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post.

“I haven’t seen them. I don’t care. I’ll be in Hawaii. You guys can write about them. I’ll tell you all about Hawaii.”

A major benefit of the All-Star break is that coaches and players can go on vacations and spend time with their families. The Warriors, like all other teams, obviously have some more work to do after the All-Star break, so Kerr is taking a vacation to get ready for the non-stop grind ahead.

As the NBA champions, the Warriors are being touted as favorites to defend their title and repeat. Kerr appears to show no regard for the All-Star game and seems ready to enjoy his break away from the NBA before he returns with laser-sharp championship focus.
