The Golden State Warriors have gone 1-3 since Stephen Curry became unavailable. The star sprained ligaments in his left foot in a collision with Boston Celtic's Marcus Smart last Wednesday. The next day, the team announced that they would reevaluate Curry's injury in two weeks.

On Saturday, ten days after the injury, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr gave Anthony Slater of The Athletic an extremely optimistic update.

The Warriors beat reporter tweeted a video of Kerr speaking on the topic Saturday afternoon.

“He's still sort of in rehab stage. He's not on the court yet, but everything's going well…and again, they're going to be cautious and make sure everything is in order by the time he really gets back on the court and starts getting after it. So, that hasn't happened yet, but it shouldn't be too far out.”

This is great news for the Warriors, who are expected to go on a long playoff run. The team is third in the Western Conference with a winning record of 48-26. Golden State only has eight more games to play in the regular season, and will likely be playing about half of them without Curry.

The Warriors' next game is their Monday night matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. There is a lot of weight on Golden State for this one, since the Grizzlies are just above them in the Western Conference. To make the stakes higher, the Warriors take on the top team in the West in the Phoenix Suns just two days later.
