The Golden State Warriors have the second overall pick in the 2020 draft and some pundits believe they should select James Wiseman from Memphis since the team needs big man help.

However, the Warriors may not be that high on Wiseman for a couple of reasons, per Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle:

The Warriors, owners of the No. 2 pick, are still figuring out where to put James Wiseman on their big board, according to multiple league sources. His limited playmaking ability and shooting range could make him an odd fit in a system that asks its center to be an offensive fulcrum. But after watching Wiseman work out in Miami last week, a league source who was present told The Chronicle, “He really is gifted physically. Is he worth the second pick? I’m not sure.”

Wiseman played only three games at Memphis due to eligibility issues after getting money from head coach Penny Hardaway. The former NBA star provided Wiseman with $11,500 in moving expenses to help Wiseman’s family in their relocation to Memphis.

Wiseman averaged 19.7 points and 10.7 rebounds in three games at Memphis. He shot 76.9 percent from the field and 70.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors should be back in the title picture next season after finishing the 2019-20 campaign with the worst record in the NBA. All-Stars Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green will be back in the lineup together and former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins will serve as the third or fourth option on offense.

It's going to be interesting to see who the Warriors draft with the second overall pick.
