Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry showed his full support for the Asian community by rocking Asian-themed kicks on Sunday. Curry has been one of the handful of superstars in the league who has brought awareness to the issues Asians are going through today.

Curry’s sneakers on Sunday’s game versus the Atlanta Hawks is an Under Armour Curry 8 yellow and black-themed pair. The side of one shoe has an illustration of an Asian family while the other pair has Bruce Lee’s words “Under the Heavens there is but one family” on it along with Lee’s illustration. This footwear design is to show support against the victims and the families affected by the Atlanta-area shootings that happened last March.
The Warriors guard worked with the Bruce Lee Foundation to create these unique customized sneakers. The hand-painted yellow and black pair will be auctioned in the next coming weeks as proceeds earned will be distributed to the families of the eight victims affected by the shooting.

Curry has been open about how he feels about the recent shooting against Asians. He told The Undefeated that this is a wake-up call especially after what the country has been through in the past year.
“Disgust, horror and outright anger at why any violence keeps happening in our country,” Curry said. “After all we have been through this past year, let alone in the history of our country, people still deal with unnecessary tragedy and are afraid for their lives. We have to do better,” added the sharpshooter.
Curry and the Warriors look to get a dub against the Hawks to make up for their worst loss of the season last Friday.
