The Golden State Warriors are looking for some shooting help at the NBA trade deadline.
Marc Stein of the New York Times reported the Dubs are expressing interest in acquiring swingman Danny Green from the Philadelphia 76ers.

A deal for Green would be sensible for Golden State.
Andrew Wiggins has made some strides defensively, but the Warriors could use more of a veteran guy who can defend multiple positions at a high level.
Of course, Green would also provide Golden State with another dependable catch-and-shoot threat. The Warriors rank 14th in the NBA in three-point percentage, which is not great considering Stephen Curry is shooting nearly 41 percent from beyond the arc on high volume. Kelly Oubre Jr. has not found a consistent stroke from deep.

Moving Green would make less sense for the Sixers, however. Sure, he is on an expiring contract. Maybe Philly can nab some interesting assets. But the 33-year-old also plays an important role as a floor-spacer.
Green is shooting 39 percent from beyond the arc on 6.2 attempts per game. Opponents have to respect his jumper, further opening up the lane for the likes of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Tobias Harris.
The Sixers are the best team in the East. They are more likely to possibly sue Green as a salary to land a bigger fish rather than simply moving him for draft capital, as might be the case with the Dubs.
