Paul Pierce caused quite a stir recently stemming from some comments he made during his analysis on ESPN. One of them is admitting that he thinks John Wall as the best point guard in the league today. He cited his speed, handles and how difficult it is to defend him as reasons why he considers him as such.

Former back-to-back MVP and Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry was asked to give his reaction to what Pierce said. However, he was left speechless, and could only shake his head in disapproval of The Truth's statement.

While it's very difficult to contest what the NBA legend said, Curry could definitely make a case for himself to be called the best at his position as well. Outside of his two MVP Awards, he has already won two NBA championships, and been named to the All-NBA First Team twice in his illustrious career.

Their games are very different as Wall is more of a speedster, with the incredible ability to break down the defense with his hard drives to the basket, and finishing strong, or dropping dimes to his teammates. Curry on the other hand, is the better shooter between them, with range extending to beyond the 3-point line, and has continued to help be the successful team that they are.

It remains to be seen if there are also some elite point guards in the league who will give their reactions to Pierce's bold claim. However, he is entitled to his own opinion, and Curry and the others could use it as motivation to play even harder to prove him wrong.
