Ahead of the Brooklyn Nets' Wednesday showdown with the Memphis Grizzlies, Kevin Durant sang some incredibly high praises for Ja Morant. Simply put, KD gave the ultimate respect to the young star by comparing him to several NBA greats like Allen Iverson and Michael Jordan.
After seeing Durant's comments, Morant showed his appreciation for the Nets star and called him a “real one” for that.

For what it's worth, what Kevin Durant said has a ton of merits. With the way he is playing and looking at how he quickly made an impact to turn things around for a Grizzlies franchise that was supposed to be rebuilding, Ja Morant is definitely on a Hall of Fame path.
“[Jo Morant is] a combination of players, I feel,” Durant said, per Dave Early of ClutchPoints. “I think the greatest players in our game can transform into anybody at any given point. And I think Ja is on the way to that. I mean I see, like, when he’s playing I see like two, or three, four different Hall of Famers in his game.”

Durant went as far as to describing why Morant has all the makings of an NBA great. As he shared, the Grizzlies guard shows shades of Allen Iverson, Michael Jordan, Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose.
“I think the sky is the limit for him, his future is obviously bright and he makes everybody better playing against him, even opponents. So it’s about that level you approach that game with and I’m looking forward to it,” the Nets star added.
Unfortunately for Durant, Morant won't be able to face him when the Nets visit the FedExForum on Wednesday to play the Grizzlies. The 22-year-old has already been ruled out due to a knee soreness. He already sat out their previous game against the Houston Rockets, and there were hopes he could get back in time for the marquee matchup. Unfortunately, Morant is still recovering from the issue.
The Grizzlies are taking it day by day when it comes to Morant since they don't want to rush him back and risk getting him injured again this close to the playoffs. Wednesday's game is the last showdown between Brooklyn and Memphis this regular season. The next time KD and Morant could face each other is in the NBA Finals if their teams make it.
