Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol is having a tough season as it is, and now he has to deal with trade rumors.
The Grizzlies star hasn't hidden his frustration with how the season has gone thus far for the team. And after Wednesday's loss, he discussed where his mindset was regarding the possibility of being traded, per Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal.

If I’m thinking about my situation, then I’m not focused on finding ways to be more effective and more efficient on the floor. I want to improve my communication with the guys and show that I’m there for them. That’s all I can worry about. The talk outside – even when it’s good – I don’t worry about. My reality and my day-to-day is never about the outside chatter. It won’t affect my job.”
The way he responded to the rumors is what any fan wants their favorite player to say. It's difficult to imagine Gasol on any other team at this point in his career, and he better storyline would be that he sticks it out in Memphis and tries to make it work.
But being traded is outside of his control unless he asks for it to happen, which he has already said he won't do. It's a waiting game right now with him and the Grizzlies, and with each loss, the chatter around trading him gets louder.
