Marc Gasol's frustration was evident as his Memphis Grizzlies had lost yet another game on Monday, this time against the Boston Celtics, making this the team's 10th straight loss.

The Spaniard didn't sugarcoat his feelings about this recent skid, noting his disagreement with the front office's plan to tank and try to get into this year's lottery.

“It’s pretty high.” Gasol said about his frustration level, according to Ronald Tillery of The Commercial Appeal, eventually going  on to say winning is what professional sports are about. “It isn’t about developing players. Because we have a league for that… This is the NBA, not the G-League.”

The Grizzlies are tied with four other teams (Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Orlando Magic, and Atlanta Hawks) with only 18 wins on the season, likely battling in a race for futility.

There are only so many teams that can make the lottery and the Grizzlies are hoping to be one of them, with the fate of this season already by the wayside with a season-ending injury to Mike Conley and a tough all-around season for the rest of the team, including Gasol, who is shooting the lowest percentage of his career.

Memphis' strategy to tank could easily come back to bite them, as they have failed to keep a player they have drafted past the rookie contract since Conley himself — recently trading two of their selections within their last two seasons.

Gasol's frustration now seems to have gone beyond the coaching staff, with David Fizdale fired earlier this season, and now expanded to the front office, who has made the call for waving the white flag on this campaign.
