Throughout his career, Marc Gasol has proven that he is one of the best passing centers in the NBA and in international competitions. He has shown his ability to locate the open man whenever he is double-teamed, and has the knack of dishing out assists to his teammates to convert on easy baskets.
That skill of his was once again on full display during Spain’s EuroBasket match against the Czech Republic recently. The 7-foot-1 big man received the ball inside the paint, and then threw a no-look, behind-the-head pass to his teammate, who was wide open for the layup.

Gasol’s experience and leadership has allowed his home country to remain unbeaten in two matches so far, and on top of Group C. With the Spaniards missing some veterans, the Memphis Grizzlies center will be relied upon even more to produce stellar numbers in all their games, as they look to defend the title they won two years ago.
If former NBA Defensive Player of the Year can continue his impressive play in the coming season, it will be a huge boost to the Grizzlies, who have brought in new faces to help them contend better in the tough Western Conference. However, Gasol and Mike Conley will continue to be their one-two punch, and the success they’ll reach may hinge on the two’s performances next season.
