It wasn’t long ago when Miami Head coach Erik Spoelstra lashed out at his team for a poor effort in a crushing 120-95 loss to the Indiana Pacers last Sunday. Spoelstra’s critical comments about his team didn’t seem to fall on deaf ears, as his men responded in the best way possible, beating the league-leading Boston Celtics on Wednesday, 104-98.
It wasn’t just a bounce-back victory. The win also stopped the Celtics’ 16-game win streak, and restored faith among Heat fans, who were growing concerned after seeing their team lose three of four games prior to meeting Boston. For Spoelstra, however, it wasn’t enough to get him excited, per Ira Winderman of The Sun-Sentinel.
Spoelstra, asked if there’s anything he doesn’t like about his team, “Yeah, there’s quite a bit … We will get better.”

It takes more than a statement win against a legitimate title contender for the Heat to make Erik Spoelstra happy it seems. After all, it’s really not that easy to satisfy a coach who has won NBA titles before. While Spoelstra didn’t specifically mention which areas the Heat are leaving much to be desired, one of those could be their inability to take care of the leather.
The Heat are seventh in the league in turnovers with 16.5 per contest, and they barely did better in the Boston game, recording 16 errors in the contest. In addition, Spoelstra might also be looking for better ball movement from his team, as the Heat are just 26th in the NBA in dimes per game (20.2). Against the Celtics, they only had 17.
The Heat can win two in a row this Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
