It hasn’t been 24 hours since Dwyane Wade was traded to the Miami Heat, but the future Hall of Fame shooting guard is already back in South Beach. And Wade is more than ecstatic to be wearing No.3 once again which is his old jersey number in Miami and in Chicago last season.

The Wades, Dwyane and Gabrielle Union, are ecstatic to be back to the city they have come to call home since the player started his career. He was drafted by the Heat with the number five pick of the 2003 NBA Draft, quickly becoming the leader of the team almost from the get-go.

In an Instagram post, Wade spoke directly to Miami Heat fans, letting them know how excited he is to be back.

“Heat Nation, oh I haven't said that in a long time. Oh, that feel's so good. Heat Nation, I'm excited to see you guys. I hope you guys are excited to see me. I can't wait to get back on that court. I can't wait to put on that number 3 and that Miami Heat jersey. I'll see you guys soon.”

The Associated Press' Tim Reynolds says that Wade will likely play sooner rather than later for the Heat.

Wade wore No.9 with the Cleveland Cavaliers after Isaiah Thomas had the No.3 reserved under his name by the time he signed with the team.

After the trade that brought him back to Miami, Wade can now wear his old number once again. This development is too perfect for both the player and organization.
