With the playoffs now in full swing, the votes for the league's individual awards have also been casted by now. That said, James Harden recently made it clear that he does not want to talk about the MVP award anymore, as he wants to focus on the job at hand, which is to make a deep run in the postseason.
The Houston Rockets‘ star guard added that it's now about their team and his teammates, who allowed him to have his best season so far in the NBA.

The Beard had a career year and finished the regular season second in scoring with 29.1 points, to go along with 8.1 rebounds and led the league in assists with 11.2 a game. Together with his former teammate, Russell Westbrook, they are widely regarded as the two frontrunners to take home the Maurice Podoloff Trophy.
Harden's stellar play has made it possible for the Rockets to finish in third place in the tough Western Conference, and they are now enjoying home court advantage in the first round against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It remains to be seen if the success his team had in regular season will carry on in the playoffs, but with Harden leading their charge, the Rockets are definitely in a good position to make a lot of noise and even contend for the title.
