The NBA schedule has been out for a good amount of time already, and each team’s respective calendars are ready for everyone’s scrutiny.
For the Indiana Pacers, a particular month has been singled out as being, allegedly, very easy. The basis for that was apparently their opponents’ records from last season. How accurate is that as a barometer for this year? It’s up for debate.
Pacers' January schedule is hilarious. In 13 games, they play one team that finished above .500 last season. pic.twitter.com/qmdKhsGaYE

Detroit, New York, Utah, and Minnesota are all poised to make significant leaps. But the Pacers themselves have also done a major retooling. How that plays into the gap between them and those teams mentioned still remains to be seen.
