When you think of the Indiana Pacers, only a few legendary players come to mind. They are Reggie Miller, Rik Smits, Mark Jackson, Jermaine O'Neal, Ron Artest, Paul George, and of course, Tristan Thompson?
Thompson was traded to the Pacers as part of the package that sent Domantas Sabonis to the Sacramento Kings. He suited up for four games before he got waived by the team on Thursday. Ironically, the announcement was made after Thompson just had his best game for the Pacers, tallying 17 points and six rebounds in their win over the Washington Wizards.
After the development, Thompson posted on Instagram a lengthy goodbye message to the Pacers.
While it was a nice gesture, NBA fans immediately swooped in and trolled the 30-year-old center. Many found it funny that Thompson sounded like he was part of the Pacers for decades when he only spent a few days with the squad.

Some NBA fans also pointed out that the so-called “Kardashian Curse” is now out of the Pacers, as Thompson is set to sign a 10-day deal with the Chicago Bulls.

It remains unclear if Thompson will find a bigger role when he lands with the Bulls after his decades-long stint with the Pacers. One thing's for sure though: NBA Twitter is undefeated.
