Following the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ loss in the Finals, there had been growing belief that the team will look to add another star to give them a better chance of winning against the Golden State Warriors. As such, Paul George has since been linked to a possible move to Northeast Ohio.

Despite all the rumors, the four-time All-Star forward recently made it known that he expects to play out next season with the Indiana Pacers. George also added that he hasn't talked to LeBron James and has no plans of doing so this summer, as he is very sincere in wanting to win with his team.

George understands his worth as the Pacers' franchise player and how much his teammates rely on him during games. They may have made it to the playoffs this past season, but he is not satisfied and wants to prove that he can have more success with his Pacers squad.

This is definitely good news for the Indianapolis faithful as he is showing a lot of loyalty to the team he's only played for as a professional. Next season will be a very important one for Paul George as it could dictate his future decision on what to do with his career.

George has been playing at an elite level since coming back from his leg injury in 2014. That said, he is expected to receive a lot of interest from around the league once he becomes a free agent. Should the Pacers have a deeper run in the playoffs next year though, it can entice him to stay and continue what he has started in Indiana.

But first, the team's front office must prove that they can bring in more talent to their roster, and give him a better supporting cast to increase their chances of reaching greater success.
