Indiana Pacers swingman Paul George will sit out of today's matchup against the Phoenix Suns, according to Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star.
George still feels soreness in his left ankle and will have an X-ray and MRI on Saturday to determine the extent of the injury, head coach Nate McMillan told Taylor.
“It was sore when he was playing and the last two days it really hasn't gotten any better,” said McMillan. “We'll have more, hopefully, for you in a couple days.”
The 6-foot-9 swingman expressed disappointment upon not being able to play, but it was him indeed who asked to have his ankle examined.

Lefty sharpshooter C.J. Miles will pick up the start in his absence.
Veteran point guard Rodney Stuckey will play tonight after a 10-game absence due to a strained hamstring. He'll play under a 10 to 15 minute restriction for today and the near future, according to McMillan.
