Guys who take a look of isolations and “hero shots” are going to miss as much or more than they make usually, so they need to have an unnerved mentality that the next one is definitely going in.
This is how Carmelo Anthony carries himself on the court. You don't win multiple scoring titles without believing completely in your abilities.
Still, he might've gone a little far with a recent assessment made on the Dan Patrick Show.
When Patrick asked Melo if he's a better scorer than Stephen Curry and LeBron James, he didn't hesitate to say that he believes he is.

“I always have that mindset. When it comes to being on that court I don't think anybody is better. That's my mindset,” said Anthony.
Carmelo has played on worse teams than Curry and James, especially lately, but still, after watching Curry this season, it's hard to argue that anybody can put the ball in the basket with as much talent as him.
On top of that, Anthony's career true-shooting percentage is 54.5, which is pretty close to the league average. LeBron is at 58.1, and Curry's percentage is an incredible 61.5.
