The New York Knicks are bad. That’s’ a very elementary way to describe the Knicks, but apt nonetheless. That being said, they are a bunch of professional basketball players you would at least expect to come into games having memorized and understood plays and the game plan.
Apparently, that’s not the case for New York.
On Tuesday night, the Knicks collapsed into a pile of rubbles when they got served their third-straight loss by the Boston Celtics, 110-89. The loss could be largely attributed to their lack of preparedness. According to Al Iannazzone of Newsday.com, veteran guard Courtney Lee rued that some of his teammates had no idea about the plays they were running.
Courtney Lee said some players don't know the plays and they need to pay attention more in practice.

Tim Hardaway Jr. doubled down on it by telling Knicks beat writer Steve Poppers that they basically played the Celtics as though the Knicks’ roster was assembled just five minutes before the contest. They were all clueless.

The Knicks are winless for a number of reasons. They lost two of their best players in the offseason with Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony off to different teams. Their free agent haul over the summer is bannered by an overpaid Hardaway and Michael Beasley, who’s got a long history of not being on the same page as his team.
Against the Celtics, the Knicks shot just 42.4 percent from the field and was atrocious from the outside, going 1-of-12 on its 3-point attempts. Hardaway, who swindled the Knicks into paying him $70 million, scored only six points on 2-of-11 shooting. Even Kristaps Porzingis had a bad night with only 12 points.
It’s going to be a long season for the Knicks who are on pace to finish it with a 0-82 record.
