The anticipation and excitement of the New York Knicks fans on Tuesday in their team’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks quickly vanished as they saw Kristaps Porzingis lying on the floor after his knees buckled following a vicious poster dunk on Giannis Antetokounmpo. The crowd inside Madison Square Garden were stunned with what they witnessed and they were all left wondering what his exact injury was.

The Knicks’ social media team then took to their Instagram account to post an update on the game on hand. However, instead of sharing news about the Latvian international big man’s condition, they focused on the poster slam he pulled off instead. Via imgur:

The sight of Kristaps Porzingis on the floor holding on to his knee and visibly in pain has overshadowed the highlight reel worthy play he made over The Greek Freak. That also explains why the Instagram users and fans of the Knicks were not pleased with the post made and saw it as a tasteless move from the team.

Porzingis went directly to a hospital to have some tests done on his left knee in order to find out its exact extent. He will obviously not return to the game. For now, he is expected to be tagged as questionable for their next outing, but if by any chance he will be available to play, the Knicks can consider themselves very fortunate as they will dodge a bullet with the 7-foot-3 big man not seriously injured, especially after seeing him go down in pain.
