Dwyane Wade had his best game of the season on Tuesday night, scoring a season-high 27 points for the Miami Heat and knocking down the game-winning jumper to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers 102-101.
Isaiah Thomas was ecstatic with the feat by his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate, reminding everyone on Twitter that it was another superheroic performance by the man nicknamed as The Flash.

Thomas and Wade were traded by the Cavaliers on separate deals that brought the former to the Los Angeles Lakers and the latter returned to the Heat. It’s refreshing to see that the relationship between the two has remained strong.
The Heat rarely had control of the ballgame but Wade delivered 15 of his overall points in the fourth quarter.

After Ben Simmons made 1-of-2 free throws with 23.8 seconds remaining, the Heat refused to take a timeout despite being down 101-100 to keep the Sixers from setting up defensively. Wade took care of the possession throughout before making his move to get free from Simmons who was defending him. After a crossover move, Wade backed away from the 6-foot-10 rookie and swished home a 21-foot jump shot from near the three-point line with 5.9 seconds remaining.
That was the Heat’s first lead in the fourth quarter and it came in a big way from the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.
Philly had one last chance when J.J. Redick found himself wide open for a three. The shot was short and Miami escaped with a narrow victory.
Wade came off the bench for the Heat. He shot 10-of-16 from the field, 2-of-4 from three-point range, and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.
