Among every single person inside the NBA's Disney World bubble, there's no denying that it is the players that run the biggest risk of potentially contracting the dreaded coronavirus. Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard shared his two cents on this matter, and admitted that this is indeed a worrisome thought.

According to the reigning Finals MVP, he cannot help but wonder about the long-term effects of this virus on any of its victims:

“If you do get it, will it affect you to be able to play again? Everyone knows it hits everybody’s body different,” Leonard said, via Andrew Grief of the Los Angeles Times. “But I don’t know. I’m not a doctor. I can’t really say what’s going to happen to players.”

Kawhi Leonard's concerns are certainly understandable. A number of NBA players have already beaten COVID-19, with Russell Westbrook of the Houston Rockets being one of the latest stars to have tested positive for the virus.

The former MVP had a speedy recovery, and after testing negative and being cleared by league officials, he has since been able to rejoin his team inside the bubble. Unfortunately, the stark reality is that no one knows what type of long-term effects, if any, this novel virus has on the human body.

Philadelphia 76ers veteran big man also seems to be on the same boat as Kawhi Leonard. According to Horford, this is also something “ I personally worry [about] and not only career-wise, but just the rest of your life.”

The players are literally risking their lives by participating in the bubble, and we truly hope that for their sake, there are no unforeseen problems the rest of the way.
