Los Angeles Clippers superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard will approach load management on a game-by-game basis next season.
Leonard was load managed by the Toronto Raptors last season and it helped the three-time All-Star and two-time Defensive Player of the Year be fresh for the postseason.
We can expect the Clippers the load manage Leonard in 2019-20. With Paul George on the roster, the Clippers have another superstar to run the team if Kawhi needs to sit out here and there and on back to backs.
Kawhi Leonard says he came into last year not fully healthy. – "This year coming up, I'm gonna be at full strength. It's just one of those day-to-day things. The goal right now is to play the season."#Clippers

Kawhi Leonard signed a three-year deal with the Clippers. So, his long-term health is the most important thing to the franchise. The regular season is long. LAC has title aspirations and will take notes from what the Raptors did this past season with Kawhi.
Leonard played in 60 regular season games in 2018-19. He averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists while shooting 49.6 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 85.4 percent from the free-throw line.
In the 2019 postseason, Leonard — as all superstars do — took his game to another level. The two-time Finals MVP put up 30.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Leonard even told ESPN if the Raptors didn't load manage him during the regular season, he wouldn't have been playing at an elite level in the playoffs.
The Clippers have good depth on the roster. Along with Leonard and George, LAC has Maurice Harkless and JaMychal Green as two guys who can play the three and four spot.
