Los Angeles Clippers guard Landry Shamet sounded excited to start playing with new teammate Kawhi Leonard.
Shamet is thrilled to have Leonard on board, and the incoming second-year guard had nothing but praises for the two-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. In an interview with Alex Kennedy of Hoopshype, he said that Leonard is impossible to guard most of the time because of his ability to make long and contested shots.

You see Kawhi take a lot of them late in the clock,” Shamet said. “When he’s making those, he’s impossible to guard because he can do everything else – shoot the three, get to the rim. When you do play good defense on him, he settles for that long, contested two and there is nothing you can do. He’s making that.”
Shamet also added that Paul George, another big-time acquisition of the Clippers this summer, has the same skills. He thinks George is always a handful for opposing teams because of his ability to move and play without the ball very well, which is why he thinks the superstar forward will easily fit into Doc Rivers' system.
The Clippers are considered favorites to win the title next season after two major moves that they made this summer. The Clippers signed Kawhi Leonard to a three-year deal after striking a blockbuster trade for George with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.
