Los Angeles Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank says acquiring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George is a “landmark moment” for the franchise.

With Leonard and George on the roster, the Clippers are title contenders for the first time in franchise history.

No one was really shocked Kawhi Leonard signed with the Clippers. It was LAC's trade for Paul George which sent shock waves throughout the entire NBA. George signed a four-year deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder last summer. Pretty much everyone thought PG was going to finish out that contract in OKC. Leonard may be the quietest superstar in NBA history, but whatever he told George privately worked for the Clippers.

The battle of Los Angeles is going to be epic in 2019-20. Leonard and George vs. LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the Lakers. It really doesn't get much better than that.

Since the Clippers won 48 games last season and took the Golden State Warriors to six games in the first round of the 2019 playoffs, many believe the Clips have a better shot at winning the 2020 title over the Lakers.

This is definitely the best day in Clippers franchise history. To acquire two superstars is something no one thought the Clips could do, especially after the whole Donald Sterling saga. Owner Steve Ballmer, Lawrence Frank and the rest of the crew have done a great job turning this organization around.
