The L.A. Clippers escaped Friday night with a massive 122-119 home victory over the Houston Rockets in what could be a potential marquee playoff match-up in late April or May. After the game, reporters asked Clippers guard Patrick Beverley to give his thoughts on the win. The feisty defensive guard believes that L.A. “should win every game”  with the amount of talent on their team, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.

The Clippers are 11-5 to start the season. They are 2-0 with both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard in the lineup with wins over two top-tier teams in the Rockets last night and the Boston Celtics previously.

George just recently returned after missing the first 11 games of the season due to shoulder surgery. Likewise, Leonard only came back against Boston after missing three straight games due to a knee issue.

With their two-way superstar pairing finally hitting the court together, the Clippers have been as good as advertised after rattling off two impressive victories over their past two contests.

Their recent game against the Rockets showed their poise down the stretch. Down by five with around a minute remaining, the Clippers leaned on their three best scorers in George, Leonard, and Sweet Lou Williams to put them over the top and get them their 10th home win of the season.

George nailed a three to cut the lead to two with 51 seconds remaining. Williams then made a go-ahead corner triple off an assist from PG13 with 30 seconds to go. After James Harden made two freethrows on the other end, Leonard made a tough mid-range jumper over PJ Tucker, which proved to be the game winner on the evening.

This Clippers team definitely has all the tools to go all the way and win the Larry O.B. in June.
