Wedgie alert! Los Angeles Clippers superstar Paul George has been money as of late with his red-hot shooting in the 2020-21 NBA campaign so far. So much so that the ball probably got tired of his dead-eye accuracy and decided to take a rest mid-game.
In the opening minutes of the Clippers' road game against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center on Friday, George found himself an easy lane to the rim and scooped one up after taking contact from Kelly Olynyk.
There should only be two outcomes in this scenario, right? Either the ball goes inside the hoop for the and-one, or George misses it. Turns out, there's a third option. The ball got stuck on the rim and was perfectly nested right above the net.
Here's the hilarious play from the Clippers small forward, which is perhaps already bookmarked by the guys at Shaqtin' A Fool.

While wedgies are an uncommon occurrence in most games, it does happen from time to time. It often results in a slight delay of the game depending on where the ball gets stuck.
Then again, we mostly see these scenarios on long-range attempts. The fact that Paul George somehow managed to do this while attempting a lay-up is indeed a âPandemic Pâ moment. For sure, Twitter will again have a field day on the Clippers star for this blunder.
