Los Angeles Clippers superstar Paul George has submitted an extremely early entry for Shaqtin A' Fool in the 2020-21 NBA regular season.

Early in the first quarter of their opening night game against reigning NBA champions Los Angeles Lakers, George tried to give an extra pass to a supposed wide-open teammate on the corner.

But by the time the ball left his fingertips, the six-time All-Star realized he was giving it to an unsuspecting referee posted on that side. The Clippers forward could only let out a scream in disgust as he watched the ball sail out of bounds.

Here's that head-scratching play, which surely caught the eye of Shaquille O'Neal in the TNT studio.

Paul George is up for a big year in 2020-21 following his disappearing act in last year's playoffs. The 30-year-old swingman struggled mightily in the 2020 postseason and often bore brunt of the blame for the Clippers' disappointing Western Conference second-round exit at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.

The Clippers, meanwhile, still displayed their utmost trust for the 6-foot-8 superstar after gifting him with a four-year, $190 million extension. LA still owes him a guaranteed $35.4 million for the 2020-21 season, making him the ninth highest-paid player in the league at the moment.

Despite his struggles in the playoffs, PG13 still managed to have an impressive first year in LA, dropping 21.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 48 games. He also shot 43.9 percent from the field and 41.2 from past the arc. George will certainly want to forget last year's struggles and come up with a much better outing in his second season with the Clips.

However, Shaq will no doubt roast him for this blunder.
