Legend has it that Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard is a Fun Guy. His teammate Reggie Jackson further validated this side of Kawhi during an conference call with various members of the media.
“Kawhi has a lot more personality than I think people give him credit for,” Jackson said on a conference call with reporters Friday morning. “I think you just have to be his teammate or be close to him. But the guy is amazing. He's funny. He's outgoing. He is who he is. I don't think a lot of people get to see who he is, and it's unfortunate for them.”
Jackson isn't the first person to label Leonard as an outgoing person. Clippers guard Lou Williams said a few months ago that Kawhi Leonard is super talkative in the team's group chat and even claimed that he's just trolling by acting standoffish to the media.
Article Continues BelowIt could very well be that Leonard simply just likes to keep his personal life to himself. As Jackson said, you probably have to be Leonard's teammate or be close to him to realize that Leonard does have a more vivacious personality than us regular folk could ever witness. However, when it comes down to practices and game day, Leonard is indeed all business on the court.
Before the NBA hiatus, Leonard was having the best season of his career, averaging 26.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in just 32.2 minutes per game. This past week, Clippers coach Doc Rivers said that Leonard won't have any minute restrictions when the season resumes, meaning Leonard's stats certainly have a chance to ascend, especially in the playoffs.
Clippers fans are certainly ready to have fun with Kawhi again real soon.
