Lou Williams' Los Angeles Clippers landed the league's most perplexing superstar Kawhi Leonard over the summer, immediately making them NBA championship contenders. His fit with the Clippers has been seamless, both on and off the court.

With the NBA on hiatus right now, superstars have been going on Instagram Live to chat with other players, and it has been a great source of content. Leonard, however, doesn't use social media, so fans haven't been able to keep up with him.

Williams recently joined the WYD? show with ESPN's Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, where he was asked about being around Leonard and his activity level in the group chats.

“He talks,” Williams admitted. “Kawhi talks the most in our group chats, believe it or not.”

“The dude is a leader. I don't know where he got pegged as this guy that doesn't talk or whatever. I think he's trolling a little bit when he does that. But the dude is a leader. He leads by example, he's active in the group chats, he's active with his workout stuff, and everybody communicates. Spoke to him yesterday just bouncing things off each other. Seeing how his family was doing, how he was doing, and how he was keeping in shape. He's very active, he's hilarious. Just hilarious, man.”

Leonard and the Clippers have been trying to stay in shape during the hiatus using Zoom conference calls and workout equipment sent to each player's home as soon as the coronavirus hit the NBA.

The Clippers were 10-1 in the 11 games they played fully healthy, and 23-8 when both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George play.

“It's just been a joy working with him this year and getting to know him,” Lou Williams added. “I hate that this thing happened when it did because we were turning that corner. We had 20 games left and we were confident in the direction we were headed in and the chemistry that we were building and starting to turn that corner. I'm just sad that this is all going on, but sometimes it takes things like this for everybody to take a step back and understand what's most important.”

In his first season with LA, Leonard is averaging career highs across the board with 26.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.1 3-pointers per game on 47 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent from beyond the arc.

The three-time Sixth Man of the Year in Lou Williams was also having a solid year for the Clippers, averaging 18.7 points. He had a terrific stretch over the six-game winning streak prior to the hiatus, shooting 48 percent from the field and 52 percent from beyond the arc.
