Following the L.A. Clippers' thrilling 123-120 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night, the Clippers simply control their own destiny moving forward in a highly-competitive Western Conference playoff race.

Despite squandering a 15-point third quarter lead and being down by as many as eight points with a little over three minutes left in regulation, Clippers guard Austin Rivers and forward Tobias Harris flexed their muscles.

Rivers, who finished with a team-high 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting, hit what would eventually be the game-winning 3-pointer with just 33.8 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

“It just seemed like we had a lot of moments where we could have just given up in that game,” Rivers told reporters.

According to a video posted after the Clippers' victory on Twitter by ClutchPoints' own Tomer Azarly, Harris (26 points on 11-of-19 shooting and eight rebounds) opened up about Rivers' clutch performance down the stretch.

“Of course. Austin is a confident player. He's a great scorer. Besides that shot, he made a lot of big plays tonight that got us going in the fourth quarter. So that was a big uplift for us,” Harris said of Rivers. “He's always had a lot of confidence in his game. He's always been a great scorer who can get a shot off and can make shots, and that's the biggest thing. So I was happy he made that shot, everybody was hyped and we needed that.”

Rivers scored 14 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, which led to the Nets' ninth loss in a row on the season.
