With the Game 7 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, the Los Angeles Clippers exorcised their postseason demons. So did Tyronn Lue, vanquishing the LeBron James monkey off his back.

The Clippers coach now owns a perfect 4-0 record in Game 7s, joining legendary Boston Celtics coach Red Auerbach as the only play-callers to ever achieve the feat.

As the Clippers fell into a 0-2 hole against the Mavs, the mockery and memes certainly rained down on LAC. But fast-forward five games later and Lue has the last laugh. Not only were they able to salvage the series, but the Clippers coach also etched his name into NBA history.

Of course, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George had a lot to do with it too. The Clippers tandem combined for 50 points, 16 rebounds, and 19 assists. But most importantly, they made life difficult for Luka Doncic. Though the Mavs star did end up with 46 points, they were able to get the stops they needed when they mattered most.

The Clippers march on to the second round. Hopefully, we get another seven-game series to put Lue's newly minted record on the line right away.
