Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has always been a big fan of Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James even though the four-time league MVP has been a thorn in his side, and that trend continued Friday after the Clippers' practice.

Rivers, who now shares the same stadium as James, says LeBron is the greatest role model and has exceeded every expectation which was set before him when he first became famous back in high school.

“I don't know if there's ever been a better role model,” Doc Rivers said, via ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly regarding James. “He's been great. He's More Than An Athlete.

“He was set up not to succeed. There was no way he was gonna outdo what everybody thought he would do and he has done that. Then, he's never had an off-the-court issue. Never. Nothing.”

LeBron James has been in the public eye since high school. He was deemed “The Chosen One” and had so much hype surrounding him at such a young age. Many thought it would be impossible for James to live up to the grand expectations which were set for him.

Now entering his 16th season in the NBA, it's fair to say James has eclipsed every single one of those expectations by a mile. In his first ever professional game against the Sacramento Kings back in 2003, James finished with 25 points, six rebounds and nine assists. The game was on national television and LeBron showed everyone he was about to dominate this league for a long, long time.

Now 33-years-old and playing his first season with the Lakers, James is a three-time NBA champion, 14-time All-Star, three-time Finals MVP, and has made the All-NBA team 14 times. Entering this season, LeBron holds career averages of 27.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game.

Those are all of James' basketball accomplishments. We haven't even talked about all the great things LeBron has done off the court. His “I PROMISE” school opened in July in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. Students get free bikes, meals, and college tuition. The two most unique features of the school are that it's a traditional public school, and school days run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Unlike some other superstar athletes, James has never been in trouble with the law. He's arguably the greatest role model of this generation. From growing up with a single mom and having all the odds stacked up against him, to becoming one of the best basketball players of all-time, LeBron James is truly a special human being, and his story should inspire people around the world.
