Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has finally spoken out on the controversy surrounding LeBron James' arrival in L.A.

With LeBron recently entering Kobe's territory, supporters could not help but compare these two superstars in the hope of determining who the better player his. However, Bryant himself believes that there is no point in doing so.

“I don't know, making the comparison of him being viewed in the similar vein as me, that doesn't make much sense,” Bryant said, appearing as a guest on “The Rich Einsen Show,” per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.

Perhaps the most vocal critics of James are the Kobe “die-hards,” as they seem to think that somehow, Bryant's legacy is threatened by the onset of the Lakers' LeBron era. Seeing the bigger picture, Kobe has honorably gone out to try and quell what he believes to be nonsense.

“I think the goal is always to win championships,” added Bryant. “No matter where you go, that is the goal. And that is his goal, that is Rob's [Pelinka] goal, that is Magic's [Johnson] goal, Jeanie's [Buss] goal, [Rajon] Rondo, all the guys, [Kyle] Kuzma, Lonzo [Ball], they all want to win championships. That is what they are gunning for.”

Kobe Bryant also gives a blunt reminder — to the supporters, to LeBron James, and to the rest of the organization — of the very reason why LeBron decided to join the Purple and Gold. Winning the championship is indeed the ultimate goal, while everything else becomes secondary.
