The Los Angeles Lakers have played two preseason games as they prepare for the regular season. However, Luka Doncic nor LeBron James have played in either game, taking the time to get and stay healthy. Instead, new Lakers center Deandre Ayton and the rest of the team are trying to build chemistry. Doncic is doing his part, getting the team behind the wheel of a Porsche.
After the Lakers' practice on Tuesday, Doncic decided to host a team bonding activity, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. Los Angeles made some changes this summer, and the team is still building its chemistry. In order to help things along, Doncic set up a Porsche driving experience. McMenamin said the team will get a chance to drive some of the brand's premiere vehicles.

“Today after practice, he is taking all of his team, on his own dime, to the Porsche driving experience in southern California,” McMenamin said. “They're going to be going around the lap in 911's and GT3's. It's going to be the type of thing where you get your mind away from the basketball court. You get to see each other in a different environment, have some fun doing it, and build some memories that you hope can take you through the lean times that are going to occur during an 82 game regular season.”
James is back for another season, but Doncic has emerged as the team's new leader. The superstar signed a lucrative extension to remain in a Lakers uniform for the foreseeable future this summer. This outing is the first step in a long journey he hopes to take with James, Ayton, and the rest of the team this season.
Los Angeles is a dark-horse team in a loaded Western Conference. If Doncic can get his team to come together before the season begins, he and James could lead the Lakers on a deep run.
