Anthony Davis is favored to be with the Los Angeles Lakers at the start of the 2019-20 season, per BetOnline.ag.

The online betting site has Davis being on the Lakers for the first game of next season at +100. The New Orleans Pelicans and Boston Celtics are tied at +200, while the New York Knicks are at +400.

The Lakers tried to acquire Davis at the February trade deadline, but the Pelicans didn't want to trade him at the time. New Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations David Griffin met with Davis on Monday to try to convince AD to change his mind about his trade request.

Davis and Lakers star LeBron James share the same agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports. Paul has a good relationship with Griffin. Los Angeles can offer the Pelicans Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft for Davis, who is one of the best players in the NBA when healthy.

Davis can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2020 once he declines his 2020-21 player option. There's no way the Pelicans are going to lose AD for nothing. Griffin will trade Davis if he can't convince the All-Star big man to stay in New Orleans.
