The Los Angeles Lakers are set to square up with the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night for their last game of the season outside California. However, Lakers rising star forward Brandon Ingram will not be joining the team on the trip due to the concussion he suffered on Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Via a tweet on Monday afternoon from Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times:

“Brandon Ingram didn't travel with the Lakers to Utah and is out for tomorrow's game. Lonzo Ball did travel but is doubtful. Naturally, Alex Caruso is still with them,” Ganguli said.

Los Angeles is clearly going to play it as safe as possible for the rest of the season with the injuries to Ingram and rookie point guard Lonzo Ball, who has missed the Lakers' last two games due to a sore left knee.

With that being said, the playmaking abilities of both Ingram and Ball were sorely missed last night during the Lakers' sloppy 84-83 loss to the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center.

“We have a responsibility to them (fans), to ourselves, to our organization to play extremely hard, no matter what,” Walton said, via ClutchPoints' own Dan Duangdao. “If we do that, we will finish the season more advanced, further along, more mentally tough than if we just give in and say ‘hey, it has been a solid year, let’s get after it this summer and see what we can do next year.'”

The Kings did just enough to capitalize on the Lakers' mistakes, while Los Angeles simply continued to shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly.
