ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst has followed LeBron James during his entire professional career, gaining an insight like no other journalist has when it comes to the Los Angeles Lakers star's decision-making.
The NBA was holding tight, bracing for James' third decision, one that could perhaps be the last of his career after playing 15 seasons — and while Windhorst gave the indication that The King was headed to La La Land, he was actually more sure than he initially let on.
per Maxwell Strachan of The Huffington Post:
Windhorst was right in his prediction, but also heavily misfired in prophesying that James would make the call on July 4, actually doing so during the afternoon of July 1, getting it over-and-done much quicker than most expected and announcing his agreement to a four-year, $154 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers through his sports agency, Klutch Sports.
