Other than Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade, not many people know Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James better than Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul.
Paul, who is one of James' best friends, says “people don't realize how selfless” the Lakers star really is:
“I think probably one of the biggest things about Bron, if the man wakes up and uses the bathroom, somebody is gonna analyze how he did it. If he did it good or bad,” Paul said, via ESPN. “For all that he's been dealt from a young age, just to see how he's handled everything, man, as a friend and a brother it's unbelievable to see. People don't realize how selfless he is. But that ain't for everybody to understand, either.”
LeBron James has been in the public eye since he was a teenager. He's not only the most popular basketball player in the world, but The King is probably the most scrutinized athlete as well.
Article Continues BelowAfter missing the playoffs last season for the first time since his second year in the league, James sat back all summer and watched and heard pundits slander his name after his first season with the Lakers was a failure.
As he always does, though, James took the high road and just focused on what he can control. After all, LeBron is going to be talked about regardless if the Lakers do well or not.
After acquiring Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans, the Lakers are once again championship contenders. LA is 26-7 on the season. They have the best record in the Western Conference and both Davis and LeBron are playing like MVPs.
