Danny Green claims the Los Angeles Lakers never voted to end the 2020 playoffs in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting, per Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.
While Green did admit the meeting on Wednesday and Thursday got heated at times, the Lakers guard said they remained committed to finishing out the 2020 postseason.
“Were we ever on the side of ending the season? No,” Green said … “To shut it down would have been silly.”
The 2020 playoffs will resume on Saturday. Danny Green and the Lakers are up 3-1 against the Portland Trail Blazers in their first-round series. Los Angeles has won three straight games after losing Game 1.

Green and the Lakers will face the winner of the Houston Rockets-Oklahoma City Thunder series in the second round of the 2020 playoffs. The Thunder and Rockets are tied at 2-2. Houston star Russell Westbrook is expected to play in Game 5 after missing the first four contests, so that series could be changing soon.
So far in the 2020 playoffs, Green is averaging 8.8 points while shooting 38.2 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from beyond the arc for the Lakers.
