Derrick Rose says Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant showed up three hours late to their NBA 2K10 commercial.
Bryant was the cover athlete of the game. Rose says the Lakers star made him pay his dues as a young player in the NBA.
“We were having a commercial shoot and it was in like Malibu somewhere and he showed up like 3 hours late,” Rose told Dan Patrick on the Dan Patrick Show. “And I'm like, ‘C'mon man.' But I understood where he was coming from. He made me pay my dues. I waited for three hours for him.”
Derrick Rose was on the Chicago Bulls at the time. Kobe Bryant and the Lakers were coming off their championship against the Orlando Magic.

One of the funniest parts about the Rose-Kobe commercial was when Bryant and Rose were going back and forth about who was the better player in 2K. Bryant said his guy had four rings and Rose just started laughing, saying he couldn't respond back with anything since he didn't have any titles.

Bryant, as we all know, is the greatest player in Lakers franchise history. The future Hall of Famer won five titles with the Purple and Gold and got his No. 8 and 24 jersey retired by the franchise.
