The Los Angeles Lakers, in their contest, against the Boston Celtics set a new franchise record, hitting 22 three-pointers in a 129-128 win.

LeBron James. Kentavious Caldwell Pope, and Kyle Kuzma each had five makes. Rajon Rondo and Lance Stephenson had three as well. They shot 22-of-41 from three overall, hitting at an insanely efficient 53.7 percent from deep.
The Lakers had seven players in double digits on the night. James led the way with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists for yet another triple-double. Kuzma had 25 points and five rebounds. Caldwell-Pope, Rondo, and JaVale McGee each had 17.
For the Celtics, three starters and six total players scored in double-digits. Kyrie Irving had 24 points with seven rebounds and eight assists. Jayson Tatum had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Daniel Theis added 20 points off the bench. Terry Rozier added 18 and dished out six assists, and Jaylen Brown scored 18 points.
Article Continues BelowOverall, it was a very close game. The Celtics won the advantage on the boards but weren't able to shoot quite as efficiently as the Lakers did. The Lakers even missed 11 free throws and were still able to come out on top.
The past few weeks have been very tense with these two organizations. The Lakers have desperately been trying to acquire New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis.
However, the Pelicans chose to wait until Kyrie Irving becomes a free agent. They'd prefer to deal with the Celtics. Perhaps this factor gave James a bit of a competitive edge coming into the contest.
The Lakers are now 28-27 and sit 10th in the NBA's Western Conference.
